True to form with the recent surge of indoor kite events in the Pacific Northwest, avid flier Alan Cunningham and a whole crew of volunteers are adding another AKA sanctioned fly and competition to the 2005 roster in Arlington, Oregon! Sponsored by Columbia River Kites, Pass Time Kites and the Arlington Chamber of Commerce, this event will be held in conjunction with the Northwest Sport Kite League so that fliers will be able to earn points not only towards their AKA Conference, but also the league... Competitors will also receive 2 free dinners as part of their $10 registration fee, compliments of the Arlington Chamber of Commerce (additional dinners available for a nominal fee).
A bag raffle and auction will be held on Saturday evening with a portion of the proceeds going towards the World Kite Museum... A great opportunity to get some cool stuff for excellent prices, and support a worthwhile cause at the same time. Anyone not attending is encouraged to send a proxy bidder in their stead, items will be listed on the event's home page... This is not to be missed!
To help support the costs of running the event, there will be a $2 charge for all spectators... However it is well worth it since your get 4 bag raffle tickets with that, and there will be plenty of time for everyone to fly! Event Location: Arlington High School Gymnasium Friday - February 4th
