Lincoln City , OR - Weren't able to make it to Lincoln City for the World Sport Kite Championships in June? Don't despair.

The best of the best, the 2005 winners Team Cutting Edge from Washington , will return to demonstrate their aerial ballet on October 8 and 9, 2005. Jim Barber, Rick Wolcott, and Jerry Cannon formed the team in 2003 and placed third at the 2004 World Championship in Berck sur Mer , France . The team won first in the 2005 World Championship in Lincoln City , OR.

Adding to the festivities will be TKS Mid-Air, a Portland based team conceived in late 2004. John Barresi, Jim McPherson, Scott Ralston, Moon Kushner and alternate Todd Rudolph comprise a team with an easy-going, fun-loving approach.

And then there is the one-man flying team, Carl Bragiel. Carl, from Amity, Oregon, has been flying three dual-line sport kites simultaneously for 12 of his 15 years as a kiter. Assisted by his wife Lisa, Carl is one of just three people in North America and one of a handful of people in the world who can fly three dual line kites simultaneously. Be sure and see sport kite flying by other outstanding performers Al Washington, J.D. Fabich, and Debbie Smith.

The skies will be full the color and beauty of many single line and big kites. Flying these will be some of the best from the Northwest including Barry Poulter, Dale Ray, Rod and Cindy Thrall, Deb Cooley, Ken Tumminia, and David and Susan Gomberg.
