Tired of juggling multiple IM windows, managing multiple accounts and getting bumped off or not being able to access the server(s) from time to time? KiteChat.org has just launched a Flash-based chat system that you can access on any of the major web browsers (Internet Explorer, FireFox, Netscape, Safari, Opera)... The plugin for Flash is free on all browsers, and has been 100% stable in all testing.
There is no charge to register an account on KiteChat, and it's accessible 24/7... We've already signed up 98 users from all over the globe as of November 29th, 2006, and expect a great deal more to be joining over the next few months. The "Free Flying" room is for general discussion, but if it should get too busy, there are also separate "by topic" rooms where people can go to converse about their specific topics... You can also create your own room, and even use private messaging. We're also developing HAL, our bot! Over time, he'll be trained to provide Q/A info when prompted by key words (like define dogstaking, or define kitelife)... While his database is limited at the moment, we'll continue expanding it with history and facts as time and contributions allow. KiteChat is building it's list of moderators to ensure safe content for all, and the chat script itself us set to filter any profanity... The chat is set up as a place for kiters to express themselves freely, within the bounds of respect for others, of course.
