Lincoln City, OR – All are invited to come and experience the incredible sights and sounds of indoor kite flying, March 30th through April 1st, 2007, at the third annual Lincoln City Indoor Kite Festival. This unique event will feature some of the best indoor kite fliers from the Northwest, the United States, and the world... In addition, this particular venue offers an incredible amount of indoor space, which allows everyone to get time on the floor with their kites.
Featured fliers include acrobatic entertainment artists, Lee and Debbie Park. The Parks defy gravity by combining choreographed indoor kite flying and gymnastics. They have performed around the world including for the World Figure Skating Championships in Germany and the recent Hilton Skating and Gymnastics Spectacular in Atlanta. Lee and Debbie will be working with other sponsored fliers to create an evening indoor performance on Friday and Saturday nights.
Additional performers include Scott Weider, John Barresi, Lam Hoac, Scott Davis and others... Quite possibly the single largest gathering of top indoor performers anywhere in the United States.
The festival will also feature an AKA and NWSKL competition for indoor kite flying. Trophies will be awarded for the top three places... To sign up, visit the NWSKL web site for more info.
There will be an abundance of free flying times for everyone to take lessons and practice indoor skills. The venue has three large areas for your flying pleasure. Flight related vendors and demonstrators are also invited to the event. So, if you sell kite gear, other things that fly, or can demonstrate flying objects such as discs or electric airplanes, contact Ron.
The festival will be held at Taft High School at 3780 SE Spyglass Ridge, just two blocks east of Highway 101 at High School Drive. This wonderful family entertainment and education opportunity is available for a nominal entrance fee of only $2 for admission ($5 for a family of two adults and children 15 and under).
There will also be times in the schedule for you grab a kite and learn from the experts, plus kite making for the kids... For the youth and adults alike, this is a show not to be missed!
