Let your kite carry away your worries at the 30th Annual Lincoln City Fall Kite Festival, to be held October 11 and 12, 2008.  Beginner and expert flyers are invited to participate in the show and join in the fun.  Featured fliers from throughout the country will demonstrate their skills and share their works of art.

This year’s line-up will include featured sport kite performances and demonstrations – to keep the skies as colorful as the performers – big “show kites” will fill the beach and the air with their creations to make sure there’s never a moment when there isn’t something to thrill the senses.  This year’s theme is “Oodles of Octopi”, where else will you have a chance to try your hand, or should I say whole body, at flying one of these show stoppers!  During our 2008 Summer Kite Festival the world record for most large octopus kites in the sky at one time was broke with 21 of these 90’ kites.

As always, kids’ kite making, kids’ parade and kids’ passports will ensure there’s enough fun for the entire family.
