Come watch as we paint the Cape Fear Sky!  Flyers from all over will be joining us for our forth Annual Cape Fear Kite Festival, held November 7th and 8th on Wrightsville Beach, in front of Shell Island Resort.  We will be filling the sky with color from countless kites of unbelievable sizes and styles!  November on the Carolina Coast usually provides wonderful weather and a good breeze to keep everything flying, but be sure to bring a jacket, as it can be chilly in the mornings!

Only in its 4th year, word of this event spread quick and now it attracts kite fliers from all over the country. The event has a very relaxed, fun fly atmosphere that is welcoming to all. In past years there has been a great showing of large single line kites, Revs, and dual like kites. Be sure to make the banquet and auction Saturday night and we are working on a indoor fly Friday night.

Last year we had PERFECT weather and wind. Don’t miss out this year!

Don’t miss the fun on Nov. 6-8th 2009. Main event is the 7th and 8th with a informal fly day on Friday and John Barresi will be doing a Rev clinic Friday from 10 to 4. This is his first clinic in this area. Don't miss it!

Stunt Kite Demonstrations - Watch professional flyers perform acrobatic kite stunts and choreographed presentations of individuals and teams alike!

Large Show Kite Displays  - bring a chair and sit back and watch the show. With a wide array of different types and sizes of kites painting the sky, its a perfect show for all ages.

Kite Auction - Take a kite kite home from our kite auction. Time and location of auction TBA.
